Bammera Pothana (1450–1510) was a Telugu poet who left an indelible mark on literature and spirituality. Born in Bammera Village, Telangana, he translated the Bhagavata Purana from Sanskrit to Telugu, creating the celebrated work known as Pothana Bhagavatam.
