Shri Gorakhnath
Shri Gorakhnath, revered yogi and Nath saint, is celebrated as a mystic who synthesized diverse spiritual traditions into a living path of practice. Born in 11th–12th century India, he is regarded as the disciple of Matsyendranath and the founder of the Nath Sampradaya. Gorakhnath emphasized yoga, meditation, and self-realization, teaching that liberation arises through discipline, detachment, and inner awakening. His works, including Goraksha Samhita and Gorakhbodh, explore Hatha Yoga and esoteric philosophy. He inspired devotion across communities, transcending caste and creed. Gorakhnath’s legacy endures in temples, oral traditions, and living practices, guiding seekers toward unity of body, mind, and spirit.
