Ram Prasad Bismil

Ram Prasad Bismil (1897-1927) was an Indian revolutionary, poet, and writer who played a pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence. He was a key figure in the Mainpuri Conspiracy of 1918 and the Kakori Conspiracy of 1925. Bismil wrote patriotic poetry in Hindi and Urdu under the pen names “Ram,” “Agyat,” and “Bismil”. He was deeply influenced by Arya Samaj and was one of the founding members of the Hindustan Republican Association. His literary works and revolutionary activities made him a symbol of resistance against British rule. Bismil was executed by hanging on December 19, 1927.
