Master Da Surya Sen
Surya Sen, also known as Master Da, was a prominent Indian revolutionary born on March 22, 1894, in Chittagong (now in Bangladesh). He led the daring Chittagong Armoury Raid in 1930, aiming to overthrow British rule. A school teacher by profession, Sen was deeply influenced by nationalist ideals and joined the Indian National Congress. His leadership and organizational skills inspired many young revolutionaries. Despite the raid’s partial success, it demonstrated significant resistance against British colonialism. Surya Sen was eventually captured, tortured, and executed by the British on January 12, 1934
