In journalism, there are three questions you quickly learn to include in every interview. I think they’re good lessons for life, not just reporting.
1) Is there anything I forgot to ask that you’d like to add?
2) Who else do you think I should talk to about this?
3) How do you spell that?
The first reminds you to always check your blind spots. The second says learning has no finish line. The third tells you to sweat the details. All three keep you humble and remind you there’s always a lot more you don’t know than you do. Good rules to live by.
