A perfect human breathes as though they don’t breathe at all

Lao Tzu

What is breath?

Breath is source of Life. You may live without food, without water but not breath. However, breathing properly is important and it has many benefits as follows:

  1. Longer and healthier life ( Longeverity = Breath retention + rate of breath )
  2. Everlasting bliss (reaching theta, gamma and delta brain wave states)
  3. Feeling of Oneness (Connection to the divine within)

How do improve our breathing process?

Measure your Breath-to-Hold (BTH) time. This is the time you can hold your breath after exhale and till you inhale without too much of an effort. Usually this is 20 to 30 seconds on average. This can be improved to 90 seconds with practice.

Every single function of our body is in rhythm like a cycle:

  1. Infradian
  2. Ultradian
  3. Circadian

and each of these are subservient to the rhythm of our breath.

Fight of Flight will signal to move the blood from digestive system to limbs ( hands and legs ).
