Parenting is one of the most profound experiences of my life.
Not because it has taught me how to guide children.
But because it continues teaching me about myself.
Children have a remarkable way of exposing assumptions, expectations and habits that might otherwise remain hidden.
They test patience.
They challenge certainty.
They remind us that growth rarely happens according to plan.
Parenting invites us to revisit questions we thought were already answered.
Questions about values.
Questions about identity.
Questions about what truly matters.
At times, parenting allows me to reconnect with parts of myself that had been forgotten.
Wonder.
Curiosity.
Playfulness.
Presence.
Perhaps the greatest gift of parenting is that it transforms both generations.
Children grow into themselves.
Parents grow alongside them.
Neither remains unchanged.
