Work is worship, duty is deity

Swami Dev Murti ji

Swami Dev Murti Ji (1920s–2009), disciple of Swami Vishwanath Yati Ji Maharaj, became a Himalayan Yoga Maharishi known for synthesizing diverse traditions into “The One Yoga.” He emphasized discipline, brahmacharya, vegetarianism, and daily purification through kriyas and pranayama. In the 1950s, he famously walked from India to Europe, teaching yoga across nations and establishing centers in Germany and England. His “Crocodile” spinal exercises and Seven Golden Keys became hallmarks of his system, promoting health, clarity, and spiritual growth. A devotee of Lord Shiva, he lived simply, avoided media, and inspired generations of teachers. He passed away in Delhi on 27 September 2009.

“Selfless service is the highest courage.”
