Sant Jnaneshwar
Sant Jnaneshwar (1275–1296), revered as Mauli, was a luminous child saint of Maharashtra. Born into hardship yet guided by his brother Nivruttinath, he mastered scriptures early and at sixteen composed the Dnyaneshwari, a Marathi Bhagavad Gita commentary that democratized spiritual wisdom. His Amrutanubhav deepened Advaita Vedanta, while his miracles — a buffalo chanting Vedas, a wall moving to meet yogi Changdev — revealed divine grace. He taught unity of knowledge and devotion, equality beyond caste, and the sanctity of household life. In just twenty‑one years, he became a pillar of the Varkari tradition, attaining samadhi at Alandi, inspiring generations with love and truth.
