Rafael Echeverria
Rafael Echeverría, Chilean philosopher and organizational consultant, is best known for developing Ontological Coaching, a discipline rooted in language, emotions, and embodiment. Drawing on Heidegger’s existential philosophy and Maturana’s biology of cognition, he emphasized that language does not merely describe reality but actively shapes it. His work highlights how conversations create possibilities, enabling individuals and organizations to transform their ways of being. Through his influential book Ontología del Lenguaje, Echeverría offered a framework for personal growth and leadership, stressing responsibility, authenticity, and generative dialogue. He remains a pivotal figure in Latin American thought, bridging philosophy and practical coaching.
Language is action; whenever we speak, we not only describe what exists, we have the power to transform with our word.
