Shashwat Sachdev
Shashwat Sachdev, born in Jaipur in 1987, is a versatile Indian composer fusing Hindustani classical training with Western piano and global sound design. A law graduate from Symbiosis, he refined his craft in Los Angeles before returning to India. His early works include Phillauri and Veere Di Wedding, but Uri: The Surgical Strike brought him the National Film Award, Filmfare R.D. Burman Award, and IIFA acclaim. He later scored Tejas, Article 370, and the ambitious Dhurandhar saga (2025–26), showcasing orchestral grandeur and patriotic resonance. Collaborating with Hans Zimmer on Virdee, Sachdev continues to shape India’s cinematic soundscape with innovation and emotional depth.
