God used beautiful mathematics in creating the world.

Paul Dirac

Paul Dirac, born in 1902, was a pioneering English theoretical physicist whose work shaped quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics. He formulated the Dirac equation, elegantly merging quantum theory with special relativity, predicting antimatter’s existence—a discovery later confirmed with the positron. Reserved and deeply mathematical, Dirac’s insights revealed profound symmetries in nature, influencing particle physics and cosmology. Awarded the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physics alongside Erwin Schrödinger, he contributed to quantum field theory and magnetic monopole concepts. His austere personality contrasted with the richness of his ideas, leaving a legacy of precision and beauty in physics. Dirac died in 1984, revered as a genius.
